Yesterday morning, when I was driving into D.C., I caught sight of a large object sliding through the sky outside the driver’s side window. While trying to avoid merging traffic, I turned to get a better look. The object quickly resolved itself to be a large bird with a white tail. Then I noticed the white head and golden beak.
