Masters of the Gridiron

Growing up in Cleveland in the 1970s and 1980s pretty much assured my lifelong allegiance to the Cleveland Browns. But that allegiance came with trials: Red Right 88, the Drive, and the Fumble, to name a few prime examples. But perhaps the most difficult period was when the Browns united with the Michael Stanley Band and Tiny Tim to create the 17-minute monstrosity known as “Masters of the Gridiron.”

So why am I posting it? Because I recently came across someone who actually played a role in this film. Literally. He’s the “mere mortal.” Phil, this is for you:
